    Too Run

Paralympic Games means “parallel” to the Olympic Games. Values include determination, courage, equality, and inspiration. This event occurs every four years in summer and winter, directly after the Olympic Games. In 2000, Sydney hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Games a few weeks apart.

The Paralympic spirit inspires athletes worldwide to participate and challenge the limits of human endurance and sports achievement.

Historically, it's about more than just the sport – it's about participation. Paralympians will proudly tell you it’s not only about winning or pushing their physical abilities to the limit.

It’s about representing your country, representing yourself, and redefining who you are.

These inspiring athletes display qualities during the games: will, determination, courage, improvisation, humility, healing (both physical and mental), tolerance, respect, and a sense of pride.

The stories of Paralympians should educate and encourage all of us to participate and aspire to their values in our everyday lives and local communities.
