About
My grandfather and my father were both amateur photographers – my grandfather during his service in World War I and my father spending countless hours taking snaps of the family.
I have been practising the craft of photography and telling stories through this medium all my life. I studied Photography & Advertising at the London College of Printing, followed by a Master in Documentary Photography and a Master of Fine Arts at Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney University.
I’m a great believer in photography as a way of telling stories and as a discipline that stands on its own, and should be recognized as such.
I still practise film-based photography with large format cameras. My interest and specialty lies in documentary, landscape and oblique aerial photography, and in combining 2 or 3 of these genres into one story.
I enjoy being a documentarian and will continue connecting with people and contribute to humanity’s story, which will either bring about social or political change.
